Through seeking harmony, the world responded. Then there came about a great harvest
In the I Ching, this Hexagram is composed of Heaven Within, Fire Without. In an image of fire above the heavens, light shines down upon us on the earth. The sun, supported by the heavens, lights up our world.
This song represents the notion of Great Harvest with my experience of reaping the rewards of hard work. Although my life has regressed from the time that I wrote it, I'm sure and even greater harvest is around the corner.
lyrics
The sun is rising above the sky
The light is shining into our eyes
We are staring into the fire
We have all built a great empire
So here we reap now what we have sown
So here we speak now what we have known
Its been a long time coming, I came up from the bottom
But I worked hard and now my life is blossoming
I put hours in, I put days in
I put years in this groovadelic bass playing
Like a Kung Fu Kata, I came up from the bottom
But just look at me now cause here I am slaughtering
I'm a legend, I'm a Super Sayin
Harvest now that which I have been cultivating
King of the jungle, I'm the fruit on the tree
I am that which has grown between you and me, Hey
I'm The Monkey King, I'm the real thing
Come on down and let me show you how to swing
Harvest the wheat, harvest the grain
Harvest the inner workings of my brain, Hey
I have built a fire out of my desire
To uplift you all and then to take you higher
I teach Kung Fu to kids, I ponder what is
Took many, many years but now I'm in the business
I was once a cook, that was what it took
But just look at me now cause I'm getting booked
King of the jungle, I'm the fruit on the tree
I am that which has grown between you and me, Hey
I'm The Monkey King, I'm the real thing
Come on down and let me show you how to swing
Sun is risen above the sky
The Light is shining into our lives
We are dancing around the fire
We have all built a great empire
