So I followed her into despair and began to poison myself
Wood Within, Mountain Without, a tree stands at the foot of a mountain. In the I Ching this is Poison, a situation in need of a remedy. Wood has the attribute of slow growth whereas Mountain is characterized by standing still. A standstill puts a cap on growth by impeding the headroom necessary. The leading position's stillness restrains the growth of the following position and creates a poisonous situation.
Here, in response to the previous events, our beloved hero (Wudang Funk) crawls into the bottom of a bottle as he sees things for what they have become, not only to himself but also to the world as a whole.
lyrics
We poison the land
We poison the sea
Poisoning you
Poisoning me
Poison the mountains
Poison the trees
We Poison the lake
The poison we take
The poison we eat
The poison we drink
The poison we breathe
The poison in me
We need a remedy
Poison your lies
Your words are decay
It's poison, the greed
It's poison, the hate
Poison your eyes
The poison it burns
We poison ourselves
When will we learn?
We need a remedy
