Despite my efforts to make things right, she fell away
Earth Within, Mountain Without. The soft Earth cannot hold the weight of mountain. This holds the image of a landslide. It is a falling out. The I Ching calls this Falling Away.
Everything falls away, nothing ever stays the same. Inherent in this line of lyrics is the nature of The I Ching, the book of changes, and thus the nature of The LP Ching, the album of changes, and also the nature of the world. The only thing that doesn't change is change itself. The I Ching is simply a way of breaking that change down into its components.
Wudang Funk laments in the loss of his lover.
lyrics
She was the greatest love I ever had
But she fell right from my hands
Well they say if you love her let her go
But that's ok cause that's the way that it goes
But there was nothing quite like our bond
Even though time rolls on
You had more important things to do
But nevertheless I am so glad I met you
Everything falls away
Nothing ever stays the same
I never met another gal like you
Back then we always had something to do
Every single day I couldn't wait
Until saturday night when we would both stay out late
And we would carve a hole in the dance floor
But you always knew I wanted more
But I was never meant to be yours
But nevertheless our friendship was sworn
Everything falls away
Nothing ever stays the same
