When the party settled we all felt a feeling of longing. We opened up to the nourishment of love.
Thunder within, Mountain without. The action of Thunder rumbling underneath the stillness of Mountain. When you look at the lines of the Hexagram it appears to be a mouth open wide. The I Ching calls this Hexagram Nourishing.
The feeling of funk, I came to realize was the feeling of love. My heart opened wide, my arms opened wide.
I came up with the lyrics when I came home and saw the way that my dog looks at me.
lyrics
Our mouths are open wide, we are in need of nourishment
Please feed us all that funk so we can feel it from within
I need a little funkiness, it nourishes my soul
I asked the Tao of funkiness to please fill up my bowl
Please feed us all your funkiness, our mouths are open wide
Please feed us all that funk so we can feel it from inside
I need your love, I need your love
My arms are open wide
Please give me all your love so I can feel it from inside

“Sauropoda” defies description; one minute it’s funneling the sound of Afrobeat through synths, the next it’s floating off into space. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 28, 2019
