Wood within, Thunder without. Wood is gentle but firm supporting the active nature of thunder. In Chinese theory, Wood and Wind are two sides of the same coin, they are Yin and Yang to each other, I tend to opt towards the image of Wood because of what I was taught, but you could also think of this as Wind within, Thunder without. Wind, like Wood, is gentle. You could also think of it as the gentleness of Wind carrying the Yang power of Thunder. In the I Ching this is called Long Lasting, as in a long lasting relationship; in it together, in the same boat.

Wudang Funk and his new Love are now in it for the long haul. Wudang Funk will do whatever it takes for The Queen of Hearts and the Queen of Hearts will do whatever it takes for Wudang Funk. The evil that was foreshadowed earlier begins to emerge but it cannot shake the long lasting power of their love.

I cannot begin to describe (well actually I could but I wont) everything in my experience over the years: inspiration, love, heartbreak, joy, tears, highs, lows, necessity, difficulty, remembrance, and inner resolution that it took for me to be able to write this song. This song is the product of all of the above and more. This song was therapy to me. When the rest of the album was done I had to come up with new lyrics for this one but I was having trouble finding inspiration because it was difficult for me to authentically encompass this feeling in writing due to the trauma that I have been through. In order to write it I had to dig deep and remember the way that I felt before. As the words emerged I finally came to truly find forgiveness in my heart for someone who once made me feel this way but betrayed me. Art is a form of therapy.
