The road became difficult. We had to take a moment to bide our time.

Fire within, Earth without. The image of the setting sun. the flames begin to fall beneath the Earth. In the I Ching the Hexagram is called Brilliance Injured. This is a difficult circumstance which calls for falling back and biding one's time.

And so we were weary from the retreat and the battle and the road. And so I had to bide my time.
