about

The first track of The LP Ching, this is written to represent the first hexagram in The I Ching called "Initiating", where all lines are yang. Heaven within, Heaven without. This represents a situation where things are actively taking place and people are actively, directively engaging. Things are happening. Its poppin, if you will. Pure yang, the creative force. Hot like the sun, it represents pure, directive, masculine energy.

The song is inspired by my experiences as being the King of the dance floor at Diamonds, prancing around dancing using my Wudang Kungfu movement skills, inspiring others to dance. This Situation is an excellent example of the dynamic described by the hexagram called Initiating. Initiating doesn't have to take place on a dance floor, it can take on many forms, but certainly the way I engage others when I dance is Initiating.

lyrics

He was the King of Diamonds
And there it was a scene
He'd groove his way around
Cause deep down he was free
He lit up all the people's hearts
And everyone released
Everybody relax and dance cause deep down you are free

Everybody just relax and dance because you're free

God king savior of the dance floor
When will he ever return
The silky smoothness of his moves was woven from heaven and earth
He lit up all the people's hearts
And everyone released
Everybody relax and dance cause deep down you are free

Everybody just relax and dance because you're free
